I, David William Hedrick, a member of the silent majority, decided that I was not going to be silent anymore. So, I let U.S. Congressman Brian Baird have it. I was one questioner out of 38, that was called at random from an audience that started at 3,000 earlier in the evening. Not expecting to be called on, I quickly scratched what I wanted to say on a borrowed piece of paper and with a pen that I borrowed from someone else in the audience minutes before I spoke. So much for the planned talking points of the right wing conspiracy.

As I watch this I am bewildered with the feeling of sorrow for my fellow man… My heart aches for the citizens of this country who are so plainly scared. Fellow Americans…. I call unto you to rise up and take back what was given to you by our Creator…. Freedom.

This video certainly could not have expressed my views any more plainly. I was delighted. We need to “kickthemallout”.org.
Congress threatens to do anything they want; the only way to establish a powerful influence over them is to show them who’s boss. Sacrifice your allegiance to a political party in favor of allegiance to our nation. Vote them out. I honestly feel though, that until we stop the flow of our tax dollars to Washington, true reform will never happen. We need a strong mass movement to refuse to send them another nickel. They work 103+days a year, have the best health care in the world, an office budget they just increased from $30,000 to $90,000 and automatic raises that we have no right to deny no matter what kind of a job of representation they do. What kind of employers are we? If you aren’t doing the job you were hired to do, do you think that it would take several years and a vote? Obama’s been in less than 6 months and look what has happened. God help us the next 3-1/2 years!
